Description

The La Poste Chair in Strategic Management of Services has been created in January 2009. It is placed under the authority of the Institute for Strategic Innovation and Services (ISIS), the ESSEC Business School center of excellence for innovation in a service economy.

The chair works as a platform for both academic research and events, where researchers focus on crucial topics, such as :

·  Strategic management, development and marketing of services

·  Specificities of managing firms dealing with constrained environments

·  Structuring of complex production and services distribution processes

·  Reshaping and strategic repositioning of La Poste mail business

· Stimulating of innovation processes among enterprises carrying-out public service tasks

·   Promoting the responsible nature of innovation within services strategic management

 Objectives

·   Capture the specificities of enterprises carrying-out public service tasks, both in France and in foreign countries

·   Provide solutions to challenges involving services in a context of opening-up of national markets and structural evolution of consumption patterns

·   Rethink the strategic management of services, sourcing of high-valued service delivery and coordination of services chain towards customers

·         Analyze the public sector in general and the comparative importance of enterprises carrying-out public service tasks

·          Question the rôle and impact of the client in this new economy
